Probably just going to go to bed and crash, been up all night with a migraine. Later probably dinner and a movie with my kid, so much going on lately, and he's got a new job, and a new fiancee, haven't seen him much lately... and he lives here! Ah, it's all good tho, he's doing well, and his gf and I have been good friends for years, she's like my kid too. I look really young tho, so people have no idea I'm his mother, they think he's MY boyfriend! Yikes!

The new site is great! You are really creative in your approach to the whole freebie world, you put alot of thought and work into things. Thinking good thoughts for the new endeavour!!!

Today we are going to officially announce another website that I spent about six months developing, SmarterSamples.com . We had offers on there in the past, with mixed results. Our idea was that more people would want to give out free samples if they can target exactly who receives the free samples. Any how, we got someone from D'Lites candles to give out random candle stuff.

I know some freebie sites have a clear divide between the main site/newsletter and the forum... but I'm saying I don't feel that way, it's yours to use any info in it, both of you.

(continued) will be shut down, etc. Even if they list it four days after everyone else and it's already expired! I know for a fact they've stolen some of my very own posts from another site, and didn't even bother to change the wording, which was uniquely mine. And they just list the straight to the freebie link that is on google, so there's no personal address. I know at least three sites that will have my listings in their morning newsletters if I put them on a few others at night, I'm an owl.

If I think it'll go fast, I list it here, and that's it, because I feel a loyalty to this site, I think you guys have done a fine job, and I feel invested in its success. Nobody has a monopoly on freebies, they are out there for anybody to find, and obviously some people get waaay carried away in their possessiveness. But we're taking the high road, and just sharing the joy of freebies in a fun way!

in the newsletters

That's a good idea, to go thru them. I check to see if things I recieve are still available too, sometimes they are. Sometimes I go thru older listings on freebie sites, because sometimes they are available again, or they restocked but haven't advertised it.

Yeah, putting things on the forum too is a great idea, because some people won't have seen them before.

Who knows what people may want in the way of freebies, but at least we are putting up a pretty good assortment, I think! There's been a real range of stuff lately!

I think we're also dealing with the younger instant gratification facebook crowd. They are in, grab the freebies, and are out. But we'll just keep on being the quality place this is, and build it up.

What is it, The Free Stuff Times? I think whoever runs it is, off, shall we say? Insists that every freebie out there is somehow personal property, and if it's in the newsletter it can't be listed anywhere else, or the other sites are content thieves,

wow, I didn't realize that! That sounds good. Ive been going through the old samples that are still valid that we havent posted about in a while and have been putting them on the forum... just so they are there.

Anyways, hopefully we will get a ton more people. We also started a halfoffplus site for deals that are at least 1/2 off!

It is. Sometimes we probably take it for granted because it's what we're used to, but I've been elsewhere and know how good we've got it here! My son's best friend just returned from living in Hollywood CA for almost a year... he had had enough! Smog, unbelievable unemployment, getting beat up... not what he'd planned on!

Freebie wise, I've been trying to put up a mix of stuff. But you guys have to get out the daily samples, so unless it's a time is of the essence freebie, I'm trying to leave the kind of stuff you might list and find some other stuff out there. I had a feeling the postits would be on there, so I didn't post it.
Not sure what happened to our other mod, but she's young and has a 2 1/2 yr. old son and is starting college, so I imagine she's pretty busy!
